Longchamp Kuala Lumpur Staff Crushed My Fragile Spirit

I'm not loaded and I'm just an ordinary person. Not a VIP at Longchamps and not even at Esprit. But do I own one of the cheapest tote bag from Longchamps. Bought it during an emergency (needed a black tote badly to go with my outfits). The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rest you could put it as history.

The bag served me well. From Kuala Lumpur to Malacca and also Singapore, I brought it everywhere as it's durable and it can fit all my stuff including a 1 liter tumbler. I like the bag so much that I planned to get another one in some neutral color like beige or khaki. Googled for the latest collection when I found one in khaki. Just nice, I'm sure it will goes well with more than half of the white outfits in my wardrobe. The Longchamps customer service referred me to their shop in Kuala Lumpur to purchase it(I thought I could buy it online).

I went to MidValley this morning to get some accessories for my computer and I thought why not go the Longchamps to buy the bag as well. I was carrying a bags of my shopping haul and walked into the store. Didn't hear any greetings like last time. I had to approach her to ask about the bag. "Khaki?!" she looked at me with those bewildered expression as if I asked if they sell any broccoli. She doesn't seem to know what is it and I proceeded to show her the picture on my phone.

I was informed that they don't carry it here. When I asked about new colors arrival for something similar with my one all I got was a curt reply "Spring/Summer or Autumn/Winter". How the hell I supposed to know when it is? At least she could give me a proper answer like first week of January or maybe I could leave my contact with them so that they can call me when there's new stock or colors arrived. I got NOTHING.

The moment I stepped into the store, I felt like I've trespassed some private property. It's like I'm not being welcome there. The lady looked reluctant to attend to me. Maybe I'm no VIP or Datin or whatever. I think my presence offended her in some way. I thank her afterwards and I've made a mental note to myself to get it in overseas after this.

After a while, I decided to go back to the store to check if they could order it for me. This time the lady gave me a scan from top to my feet and back to top as she spoke. It's the kind of CAN-YOU-AFFORD-IT look. I feel very degraded already. "It's 2k plus you know?" What?! What did I did to deserve that kind of attitude from that woman? It's not I'm wearing some torn clothes or something. It's A/X shirt with Louis Vuitton belt you know? The price of them can buy a few all those bags already! Some more I never ask for discount or anything.

All I want is to buy a new bag and this woman is really mean by giving me those looks and to scan me from top to toe. She can really crumble anyone's spirit with that attitude of her. Thank you Miss Aries for crushing my self esteem in just a few minutes. Thank you so much for the lesson. Served me right for asking for such a cheap bag. From now on I will never step into any high end store, I'll just stand and point and pay from outside. PHOBIA!

Anyone feeling boring and have a very fragile spirit like me should go to Longchamps Kuala Lumpur to experience this once in a lifetime thing.

Some Discriminating Staff At BOH Tea Centre

Update:Appropriate action? I wonder what can they do?

We are kinda excited to go for the guided tour as mentioned in this signage.

The time comes but the guide never materialise. The staffs here are too busy chatting to even acknowledge us. I'm sure they are chatting as they are laughing very loud. Something about marriage, second marriage bla..bla..What are their purpose in this company? Wasting BOH's money by chitchats and ignoring the visitors?

We started to get impatient and W asked about the tour. Guess what? They said we can go in just like that! Then what about the signboard? So we sat there like idiots waiting while they chitchat? They could have tell us that earlier. The most f*cked up thing was a caucasian couple came walking in and the staff attends to them and say 'You may go in now' in a totally different tone, a friendlier one unlike the tone that they use on us.

There's a sourpuss staff in this souvenir shop too. I don't even have to spend a dime for sourvenir. Her sourpuss face is more than enough for me to remember this place. She walked passed us with that sourpuss face of hers and right to the back of the shop and stared out of the window for IDK how long. She isn't in this picture, I guess she still dreaming back there.

That is totally double standard that they practise. Is it just the staffs or it's BOH's policy to treat caucasians better than the local? Ignore the locals and treat the caucasians like GOD? Locals don't deserve a good service and smile? That is very disrespectful to us. It's a shame that this has happened.

If that's the case, they should put up a sign at their entrance then I would never step my foot in.

The Famous Mille Crepe@Nadeje with It's Famous Rude Staff

Someone told me about the layered cake in Malacca, so I thought nothing fancy.Until we reached the Nadeje Patisserie, well it's Mille Crepe!Looks nice on the outside.

What is Mille Crepe actually? It's a French cake made of many crêpe layers. "Mille" ("mil") means "a thousand", implying the many layers of crêpe.

Usually it's made by layering around 20 layers of crepe with a combination of fresh cream and vanilla custard in between each layer. Then the topmost layer will be caramelized to give it a smoky sugary flavour.

Back to Nadeje:
The villain in disguise approached us as we were looking at the cakes. There were 4 of us of course we need to calculate how many pieces altogether that we want. This villain named Michael immeadiately showed his true color. From a forced smile to a blurdie 'muka masam', like we owed him money. Then he ignored us and chat to his colleague ,taking his own sweet time to even acknowledge us. His blurdie attitude was already making my blood boiling.

He got our orders wrong and when I tried to correct him. He yelled at me "You go pay!We know what to do!" .He knows how to be rude and yell at his clients la, that I confirmed he know.If not for the recommendations from others, I will leave right there and then. The cashier also got things wrong. Not even an apology from them. What kind of f*ucked up people are they? They were forced to work there or what? If damn unhappy, just leave the place. Go sleep by the roadside and beg for food,no need to work.Don't vent your frustration on the clients.

Their Mille Crepe was really nice but when I think of the incident, I rather not eat again. Luckily I found this website HumbleBeginning.I heard it is run by some guy that left before the downfall of Nadeje Patisserie.

Read about it here:

Almost a week has past but I still feel dissatisfied. So what I did was posted my comment on their Facebook page. No response then I sent them an email. Take a look...

How they want to mend this? I was already being yelled at.Use the cake to shut my mouth? Bribe me with free food? Complimentary...whatever..I don't want!I don't want to eat spit!RM9 is a bit expensive but I still can afford it. I don't need anyone to buy for me. These free stuff mean nothing for me. Last time Starbuckss offered me free drinks coz his staff offended me,I never accept. Same goes with Nadeje Patisserie.
